Full moon near Hainerberg
Capture of the full moon rising in the fields near Hainerberg. It has been quite some time since Lisa and I have ventured out (successfully) to capture the moon. Around the full moon phase there is a sweet spot where moonrise and sunset are close enough to capture the surrounding landscape and the moon’s brightness is in balance with the entire scene. It usually works best the night before the full moon when the moon rises before the sunsets. But, in typical fashion for the weather here, rain clouds obscured the clouds that night. However, the rain was short lived, and the skies cleared the next night. In an untypical fashion, the skies were incredibly clear, and I was able to capture the nice transition into the blue hour while keeping the warmth of the sunset in the top of the photo.
